  Richard A. Campbell, Jr.
( President / Geologist) Mr. Campbell earned a BS in Geology from LSU in 1972 as part of the Geology / Law Curriculum offered at the time. He finished Law School at LSU and went to work for Exxon in New Orleans in their land department. He left Exxon in 1973 to form Campbell & Associates in Baton Rouge, Louisiana and worked the Down Dip Wilcox with his former geology professor Dr. Clay Durham for several years.

In 1976, he formed Campbell Energy Corporation, which was a family owned corporation.
 

 

In 1980, Mr. Campbell left the family owned corporation to form a new exploration and development company called Edgewood Exploration, Inc. where he has remained active as its president and exploration manager.

Edgewood is active primarily in south Louisiana concentrating heavily in the parishes of Lafourche, Terrebonne, St. Mary, Vermillion, St. Martin, and Pointe Coupee.

Edgewood currently has one of the largest self-generated prospect inventories left undeveloped in South Louisiana.
